Re-Elect Janie Dretler
Sudbury Select Board
Leadership for Sudbury
I am excited to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Sudbury Select Board. As a member of the Select Board for the last three years, and now as Board Chair, I have always considered issues before us from multiple perspectives to make sure the consequences of our decisions are fully understood and vetted. It is my priority to make sure there is equity for all residents, focusing on a safe environment and improved quality of life, while moving projects and policies forward in a fiscally responsible way.
I am proud to have been directly involved in the town’s recent accomplishments, including hiring a new Town Manager, Town Meeting approval to build a new Fairbank Community Center, the acquisition of the CSX ROW corridor to bring the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail to Route 20 and south Sudbury, the creation of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission, supporting new environmental bylaws, updating the Master Plan, and making the Sudbury Town Charter gender neutral. We still have much to do, and I endeavor to be a part of this positive momentum, particularly during these challenging times. The Select Board’s high priority goals for 2021 include updates to financial policies and capital planning/funding processes, review of the LSRHS Regional Agreement and assessment process, continued progress towards construction of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, and next steps for managing the Sewataro property. These goals and others have the potential to positively impact every resident and shape our community for decades to come.
Always keeping your health and safety in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic, I look forward to speaking with you during the campaign by email, phone, or Zoom - email@example.com. I respectfully ask for your support and vote on March 29 for re-election to the Select Board. Thank you!
